The Liverpool University Hospitals Otology department diagnose and treat problems relating to the ear, and the associated structures.
We provide both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as audiology investigations and rehabilitation including digital hearing aids, tinnitus therapy, balance testing and vestibular rehabilitation. We provide surgery ranging from simple grommet insertion to removal of skull base tumours.

Mr Youssef graduated from medical school in the year 2000 from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. In 2008, He finished his ENT specialist training in Egypt, and worked as a lecturer of ENT in Ain Shams University where he was a member of the Skull Base Team and head of the Balance unit in the university.
He moved to the UK in 2010, when he gained further experience in Otology and Skull Base in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. In 2012, Mr Youssef moved to Liverpool as an ENT consultant and gained further experience in Lateral Skull Base.
He is currently working as an ENT Consultant with special interest in Otology, Lateral Skull Base Surgery and Dizziness and he is the lead of Balance services in Liverpool University Hospitals.
