Professor Terry Jones was conferred the huge honour by ENT.UK - the national Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery society - of A Lifetime Trainer Award in recognition of his contribution to head and neck surgical training.
This was awarded at a national research showcase meeting on Friday 5 September.

Professor Jones commented,

'I am genuinely touched and honoured by this prestigious award, which I am delighted to accept on behalf of Liverpool Head and Neck Centre. Surgical education has been integral to my clinical academic role, a view shared by my academic and clinical colleagues in LHNC. Very few things are more important than developing, nurturing and empowering clinical and clinical academic doctors in training, which is why we have developed a suite of hands-on surgical instruction courses and other educational resources, to train the surgeons of the future.'
